I always loved the way you looked at me. Like you knew exactly what I was thinking at that moment.
Our deep blue eyes would meet and at the same time, I could see you smiling shyly to one side.
Just the way I liked it.
I never thought something so beautiful could be destroyed in such a short time.
Just like that, you had turned your face to the other side of the room. Never seeing those eyes again. That round nose. Pale skin. Soft lips.
You were like a dream to me. Something I wanted, but knew I could never get in real life. Like an almost finished puzzle, but you've lost the corner pieces that keep it all together. Everything is fragile and brakes down at the exact moment when you think you've found the missing parts.
I always wanted answers. But now that I think of it, maybe I don't after all. Maybe I want to keep holding on to the memories and not destroy them by facts and figures I can't understand. Maybe I want to live in the belief that maybe it was not me, but maybe it was you.
Sometimes during the nights when I can't sleep, I think of you. The way you used hold me, like it was the last time you would ever see me. Like it was the end of time. The heat of your body would keep me warm and your arms surrounding me told me never to leave.
But it was you who left. Leaving me cold and bare.
I would never see those blue eyes again.
That round nose.
Pale skin.
Soft lips.
